New Year - New Fusion

Tuesday 2nd January 2007 – not just the first day in the working year but also a date that marked the merger of two local securitycompanies.

Wellingborough based Connect Security and Stargard of Northampton have come together to form Fusion Security Ltd.

The new organisation has merged the manned guarding service previously offered by both parties, and also encompasses the specialist expertise of security dog handling (supplied by Connect Security) and the comprehensive general security skills of Stargard. Together, as Fusion Security Ltd, the business has now become the only company in the county to offer complete security coverage - all under one roof.

Joint Directors of the new business, Andrew Reason,Wayne Southern and Shirlee Reason, were delighted to have completed the legal paperwork on time and are all now looking forward to exciting times.

” The two businesses had been trading independently since being formed within a year of each other, in 1997 and 1998,” explained Andrew. “Both had solid reputations and benefited from already being accredited to the highest standards of the SIA (Security Industry Authority) Approved Contractors Scheme, NSI (National Security Inspectorate) (Guarding Gold status), Investors in People, members of the BSIA (British Security Industry Association) and members of NASDU (National Association of Security Dog Users). This merger means greater depth of expertise – giving clients complete peace of mind.”

Wayne agreed with Andrew’s comments and added: “This is good news for both staff and clients alike, we are able to offer a more diverse set of services and a stronger management structure whilst our staff will benefit from greater job security and career opportunities.”
